This free and innovative program for women runs fourteen consecutive
weeks, each class of three and a half hours, in several locations in
southeastern Vermont, and in two prison locations, Windsor and Waterbury.
Making the Most of I offers women support,
education and resources for making healthy changes in their
lives. Free, on-site childcare is provided, and transportation reimbursement is available.
Confidential
sharing among women serves as a model for new ideas, solutions
and as a means to develop life skills. Professional trainers
present and discuss topics relative to the lives of women
such as employment, education, parenting, substance abuse and
addictions, sexuality, mental health, nutrition,
communication skills, conflict resolution, stress
reduction, health, self esteem and body image, money
management and more.
MMI
shares the available resources to increase women's health,
self-esteem, awareness and the knowledge and support that
empower women to make the most of their lives. In this way,
we impact the whole family and community.
